Woud u change ur full name to its irish version?

Would you change your name to its Irish version and how would you do it?

Woud u change ur full name to its irish version?
Depends on what your name is, there isn't an Irish equivilent for lots of names

:)
Reply:The official way to change your name is by deed poll. In Ireland this is done in the Deed Poll Section, Central Office, the Four Courts, Dublin. Foreign nationals "aged 18 or over must get a change of name licence from the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) before executing a deed poll. A British citizen does not require a change of name licence but is likely to need a letter to that effect from the INIS. Sometimes an Irish citizen requires such a letter."
Reply:I do use the full Irish version of my name. Mine is in Irish on my birth cert, so if you want it changed officially then change it by deed poll, many people in Ireland just use both versions interchangeably so just start signing things with the Irish version of your name. In Ireland both english and irish are offical languages so you have the right to use both.
