What is a traditional Irish name, other than Patrick?

Patrick seems to be a cop out, however I am writing a short story which will feature a number of Irish characters, and need a number of Irish names, preferably both male and female.

What is a traditional Irish name, other than Patrick?
Brian, Sean, Aiden, Padraig, Siobhan, Claire, Sinead, Niamh, Aisling, Eileen, Cillian
Reply:well i'd like to tell you but it wouldn't help because unless you can be bothered to research at least a tiny taste of irish culture your characters will be embarrassing and bizarre.........

read irish newspapers (irish independent, irish times, irish news etc) on line and take your pick from the obituaries if you really wanna be lazy.....

Reply:Put 'Irish names' into your Google search box and it will give you a whole list of sites that have Irish baby names, Irish boys names, Irish female names etc, etc. In fact far too many for me to copy out for you.

Good luck with your short story.
Reply:There are dozens of them. Ones I like include

Dermot Kevin Ciar谩n Fionn Liam Cormac Cian Brendan

Siobh谩n Sin茅ad Ailbhe Maeve Aoife Aisling Emer Niamh
