Does anyone know the name of the book about the irish match maker?

It is a very funny book. I heard an excert from it some time ago, on the radio, but did not catch the name or the author. It was about an Irish man trying to find a husband or wife for men or women living in very rural Ireland. I believe that it may be in the form of letters written to the applicants.

I did try and see if the BBC had released the audio version, but it doesn't look like they have!
Reply:It's the Matchmaker by John B Keane
Reply:I have never read the book, but have seen the DVD a few years ago. Rented it from Netflix. It is called "The Matchmaker". Well, that is the name of the DVD.
