Reply:My name is Fiona and all my friends at school used to call me Fi or FiFi. i used to hate it but I quite like it now. It's not too common but it's still not that unusual. It means 'fair' and it is Celtic which gives it history.

Reply:I really like the name Fiona, but I would recommend just pronouncing it fee-OH-nah, so that years of teachers and friends won't pronounce her name wrong on first sight. (Fiona means 'vine', by the way.)

i love fiona. [which, btw, is pronounced Fee-oh-na, for those people who didn't know]. it is so cute, and you could call her fee or Fi as a nickname, which is adorable. I love irish names!
Reply:Tom for a boy. For girls, practically any of those which don't sound anything like their spelt, e.g. Siobhan, Aiofe, Eilidh, Naimh. I think they're so unusual.

For a girl, my favorite Irish names are Aoibheann, Shea, Brigid, Sinead, Aoibhell and Aine. For a boy, Aodhan, Finn, Liam, Conan, Seamus and Malachi.
